Every little child of ours who are actually teenagers fight their own battles which seem oblivious to us. What we think must be petty fights within friends might actually be a case of bullying. What we think is a tantrum might actually be a way of showing that they need help. For it’s always the tip of the iceberg that we see, the body underneath, is bigger than what it seems. They are superheroes fighting with their own problems.
Teens a lot of changes not only physically and mentally but emotionally as well. Though a huge number of children don’t want to open up to their parents, it is our duty to assure them that we are here and are always ready to listen to them.
Teenagers rebels due to physical and mental changes. Though all children are unique in various traits and personalities, there are some traits that are universal. No matter how much your teen seems emotionally withdrawn from you, they still need your attention and to feel loved by you.
During this time, we should take a stance not only as parents but as their friends, as a shoulder to lean on.
“Sometimes, real superheroes live in the hearts of young minds fighting big battles.”
